Dennis Murphy, our Senior Partner, graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1982 and from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1985. From 1986 through 1990, he served as an officer in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney prosecuting a wide variety of federal, criminal, and traffic cases in the United States District Courts for the District of Maryland and the Territory of Guam. From 1988 to 1990, he served on the legal staff of the Superintendent of the United States Naval Academy before entering private practice and founding our firm in 1990. Since then, he has applied the skills he developed as a prosecutor to defend clients in State and Federal courts in a range of criminal and traffic cases, including serious felony matters. He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the Court of Appeals of Maryland.
